I've seem Sigur Ros 8 time, and saw the Jonsi solo tour twice. They just keep getting better. Even with the new live show just being them 3 (No strings or horns backing them), they still kill it every time!
Or a staring elf.
I knew many people in my town who were much like the 35 year old uncle who never escaped the town, and continues to long to have those high school days back. If only he were also drinking a 12 pack of Keystone Light every day it would've been perfectly analogous!
I did me some livestock and soil judging in my time. Never bought the FFA jacket, though. One of my many regrets.
Nice! I found it on Reddit somewhere. I've actually had people drop me on Facebook, thinking that I have turned into a right-wing gasbag by posting the Gadsden Flag as my profile picture. Some people I know are real reactionary!
I also grew up in Eastern Washington farm country, and thought Napoleon Dynamite was an awful lot like my high school.
More music reviews! Less Trump coverage!
You're turning this place into a house of lies!
While I agree that I would like to see Trump crash and burn (and I think it's likely he will). I also know that Trump no longer exists in a vacuum, and his failures could very well cost jobs, any remaining prestige and goodwill this country has left, and quite possibly people's lives.
I have a 3 year-old son who watches Coraline, ParaNorman, or Spirited Away at least once a day (To him Spirited Away is called "Parents Turn Into Pigs"). We were hesitant to show him any of those movies, but the kid just has a taste for the scary stuff!
Can I ask a question here? Is Low a good band to see live? I've enjoyed a lot of their music, but have always been on the fence about going to one of their shows.
Yep, first song is The Angry Hour. Magic Morning is track #7.
I think it depends on what you want. If you want to listen to the album as a collection of great rock songs, you can totally do that. If you want to spend the time parsing out all of the concepts, you can do that too. If you want to go the academic route with TMLT, here's a link to the lyrics, complete with a ton…
Here's the link to all of the lyrics on the album with a shit-ton of annotations that show the multitude of connections between the songs.
Your comment makes me want to give Local Business another couple of run-throughs!
I would like all the comments to go through me, so I can decide which ones to post and which ones come off as "douchey". Those commenters will be ridiculed as I see fit.
I just don't get the point of people stating their personal opinion about a single person in a band on a story about an album being streamed. If you want to call the music shitty, great! But it doesn't make sense to insult Patrick Stickles on this thread. Maybe keep your comments in your pocket next time.
A person who many perceive as pompous making rock music!? Never thought it could happen! Thanks for the heads up. I really like this record, but will never buy it or listen to it again, because the singer's kind of an asshole.
More Perfect Union is your jam, then!
