“I think it caused trouble for my friends [at Valve], and made their lives harder.”

She did the best she could with the script they gave her. If this game manages a sequel I’m sure Frey will learn to read a room finally.

I like Forspoken. I’ve put in a dozen hours at least and I’m not even in the third ‘zone’ and I haven’t unlocked the second magic from the demo. I also have almost capped my Purple spells.

As someone who got the game at launch, and enjoyed it, but has repeatedly harped on its many flaws. You’re not wrong entirely, but you’re not entirely right either.

That’s what you took from his post?

So I was one of the like...six people on the planet who didn’t hype themselves to Mars prior to the release of this game

You mean the pro-truth-and-reason agenda?

I mean, the Left Pad Incident pretty conclusively proved Nexus’s point about why this is required (and it’s been pretty well understood in software dependency management for a long, long time).

Fuck these kids

I understand I just sound like an Internet tough guy, here. But if this was my son, I would be in prison right now, after dragging each of these evil little fucks out of their houses and beating the shit from them on their front lawns.

Hopefully this means they’ll go back to focusing on making great single-player RPGs like the Mass Effect (with the arguable exception of Andromeda) and Dragon Age series, and that new IP they were working on. Anthem just seemed like a giant distraction from what they do well.

Exactly! This game is specifically designed to make holding territory almost impossible, and if you try and play that way it’ll come unglued. It’s about feints and lunges and bluffs, not simply moving armies around.

The problem is that you’re looking at it as a “territory control game.”  It’s not.  it’s a bluffing and negotiation game.

Yeah, I agree. I've been getting a lot of flak from my friends (as I am a massive franchise fan), because I am in no way excited for this entry. The trailer made it look like a Mashup of dragon's dogma and ffxiv, and, while I love both of those games, I'd really like something new (at least from an aesthetic

Warts and all, XV brought me back after a good 15 years where the franchise just didn’t have anything to offer me - at this point, my expectations are dirt-level. All I’m asking for is a story that meets basic levels of coherence from start to finish, and characters with arcs that go from A to B and *maybe* C if they

WHO

Including other streamers who apparently need to “react” to an apology video. Like christ, seriously? You’re video is you reacting to someones apology? I mean an announcement of some kind like a song, game, or big world event? Sure.

Excuse me, the movie is GREAT. Yes, it’s different from the comic in a lot of ways, but it’s an excellent adaptation that does its own thing while still being true to the comic.

Her face.
