you know what, if you ignore the source material the GITS movie wasn’t bad.  I liked it.  I think speed racer is awful, but a ton of people like it, and I thought Alita was downright great.

yeah its too easy. the attractions and all the massive powerups trivialize everything. the old games had some tight combat, this game is just anarchy. I doubt I’ll ever have a fight as good as those Sephiroth fights (or other coliseum fights in KH1/2)

the first episode was pretty great, but honestly I have been mostly let down by the second season so far.  its really slow and meandering.  It feels like all filler content.

but most of that stuff isn’t really needed to enjoy the games.  and most of the side stories aren’t really needed.  The story each game tells isn’t that crazy.  its just the games have built up a ton of lore at this point.  its not super critical to know it all or even most of it.
