This entire fiasco is due to a ransomware attack on the Colonial Pipeline by the hacking group DarkSide...”

You mean rewarding Senior Management with insane bonuses for outsourcing internet security to the lowest bidding, incompetent contractors in India or China shouldn’t be encouraged?

Punish management and executives? You must be new to the US. That’s not how it works here.

As we all know, all pipelines are interchangeable, and one carrying tar sand oil across the plains would instantly remedy a problem with a distillate delivery pipeline on the east coast.

Even fake gas shortages suck. I remember getting gas on September 12, 2001, and having to wait in a long line because every idiot in town had decided there was going to be no gas and was filling every container they had with it. I saw one guy painstakingly filling dozens of Mason jars after he’d filled several gas

I’m not sure if they still do, but for the longest time, their website implied that the roof cost the same amount as a new regular shingle roof.

I just wish appropriately aimed headlights were a thing.

It’s the finance guy every fucking time. I negotiated and got the price I was comfortable with in less than an hour and that included the test drive where they had to pull the car out from behind a few SUVs. A little over 2 hours after that point I was driving home because of the finance guy. They make you wait in

Mine was in 2006, at a Ford dealership in either Burbank or North Hollywood (I forget which). I was tired of dealing with my manual Mazda Protege in LA traffic, and wanted to trade it in on an automatic Focus. They had the car I wanted (ZX3 SE, in black) so we sat down to figure out the deal. I handed the Mazda keys

I mean, if we are including waiting an hour in line for the finance department once the handshake is made, then yeah, literally everyone who has used a dealership in the last 10 years is gonna have a detainment story.

“I’m not a conspiracy-addled fascist, but I knowingly voted for one” is not the moral high ground you think it is.

But ALL Republicans who voted for trump, the fascist who outright supported those storming the capitol and was enacting repressive policies his entire reign, decided that racism, xenophobia, fascism and the right for one group to be more equal that all others (aka whites > all) wasn’t a dealbreaker and they voted for

The house refused to take any action against the member (Greene) who loudly supported Qanon and also called for democratic officials to be killed as traitors.

The Republican Party is the party of tax cuts for billionaires, QAnon, blatant White supremacy, homophobia, misogyny, voter disenfranchisement, etc. You are a fascist. That’s it. Nothing more.

There can be reconciliation with the garbage views you have somehow managed to hold onto into ‘adulthood.’

One side literally just stormed the US capitol, erected gallows, and threatened to hang politicians. So no, I have zero desire for unity with anyone who supported that, and the fact that we still have politicians who defend it is disgusting.

The real sequence is:

Yet, this same activity gets ignored if you are rich and doing it.

90% of the things the stock market does should be illegal. It is an overcomplicated web that aims to block access, and set up to only benefit a few.

pour one out for Toys’R’Us

Hell, Vulture capitalism is totally legal- you can buy a company with money you don’t have, sell off its assets, load it up with debt and then sell it for a profit to someone else who doesn’t actually have the money to buy it. All it takes is a really nice suit and a knowing wink to shareholders.
