No, these are the set up for the baby shower! You first have the gender reveal party, and then everyone knows whether to buy pink shit or blue shit for the baby shower a couple months later. It’s nonsense.

Baby showers limited to the first baby can serve a purpose, as they typically consist of current parents helping the new parents stock up on necessities and discuss the massive change they are about to experience. After baby 1, you’re on your own.
