yes. battle passes, seasonal content, always online, yearly expansions, crazy ass expensive shop, diablo 4 only currency that leaves you with odd amounts, so many layers to keep your time locked in one game.

“games” will soon (if not already) be shops that have some gameplay mechanics instead of, you know, a full video game that also has a shop

I started playing it last night. I think I’ve only played DS1 for about 20 mins before I got bored/annoyed and that was maybe a decade ago.
