I’m all for covers that bring something new to the table, but this just seems boring and shallow. You didn’t love Beto, you hated Ted Cruz. Which is good and natural. All warm blooded creatures have an instinctive revulsion to Ted Cruz.

I can’t remember a situation where I’ve gone from wholeheartedly supporting a candidate to being completely fed up with them so fast. I was a huge Beto for Senate supporter, and would be again if he chooses to run against Cornyn in 2020.
