Drive is one of only two movies (the other being The Master) that I absolutely cherish. I can watch it again and again and again. It's just so cool. I own the jacket and I wear it every Halloween. As for Only God Forgives, well, it's dark. Some might say bereft of a soul. But if you latch on to Gosling's wounded

Selma didn't get snubbed. Ava Duvernay didn't get a nomination.

Here's the thing though. How much of this is the academy being racist and how much of this is the academy being stupid? Michael B. Jordan was fine in Creed. However, he has considerably less star power than Cranston, Redmayne, Leo, Fassbender, or Damon and it's a less showy performance. Coogler's direction was great

I see, that's a fair point. I think we just have fundamentally different ideas on what a miniseries should be.

Throw Dano in there too!

I couldn't believe it when Winslet won the golden globe.

Can't get behind Will Smith. I'm typically not the type of person to notice a bad accent but Will Smith continually took me out of the movie.

The Revenant?

I thought the decision to submit True Detective as a drama series was incredibly noble. I think shows like American Horror Story and similar anthology shows are basically exploiting a loophole. Compare a drama that gets canceled after its first season to the first season of an anthology show. What's the difference? Tr

I'd probably consider Sam Jackson a lead. He never had a chance with all the scenery chewing going on in that category.

I stand by my opinion that The Master has some of the best cinematography, well, ever. I've never been so blown away by the look of a movie.

Screw you guys, this movie rocks.
Could a movie with this scene in it ever suck?

Wow, I didn't think I could love Dinklage more. I was wrong.

Funny, that's what I'd say about The Revenant. Isn't it funny how you either love The Hateful Eight and don't like The Revenant or love The Revenant and don't like The Hateful Eight?

Elisabeth Banks for best supporting actress in Love & Mercy. She owns that movie.

And a nerd.

Even Paul Dano would be better than most of this lot. And he's Paul Dano.

Upvoted for The Big Short love. Don't be fooled people, this isn't the safe oscar-bait picture the trailers make it out to be.
