On the other hand, I’ve yet to see anyone prove it DOESN’T make 300hp, and I’m not going to Ghana to find out myself. I’m going to have to take him at his word.

Sorry, $6800, even with all the recent work is crack-pipe for this car. It’s in that uncanny valley of being too old, but not that interesting while being too expensive, even if it is really well kept and the maintenance is up to date. You would be far better off to spend a bit more and get something 20 years newer

If I want to experience that much fresh air and the prevailing weather, I’ll get on my motorcycle, go for a run, or bicycle. And I see far too many Jeep owners who disrespect the land by tearing it up, disrespect democracy via their “Orange Menace” flags and stickers. I don’t want to associate with people like that.

Same here. They put the 6MT on the nicely equipped (IRS, safety bells and whistles, sport seats, sport suspension) SE with the good engine versus just giving us a poverty spec option.  I liked the Corolla HB that I test drove a month ago but the rear legroom was really tight.  The extra 3" of wheelbase on the sedan

It makes plenty of sense. The industry of football is different from other industries in that its success is at least partially predicated on competitive equality. If Cold Stone drives Baskin Robbins and Swensen’s out of business, the ice cream industry remains. But if a few dominant sports teams consolidate talent

Likewise, I won’t buy a vehicle without being able to drive it/check it’s usefulness first, so being order only automatically takes it off the list of cars I would be interested in.

Chrysler fuel injection. Thankfully.
