I prefer warranty direct which looks at ENGINE RELIABILITY not trivial nonsense (like CR). I am okay with my door handle breaking-off, because the car can still be driven. But if the engine fails then I’m screwed.

FOR REAL? Comeon! According to Warranty Direct (repairer of engines) the brands Volkswagen/Audi and BMW are in the bottom 5 for engine reliability (out of ~50 carmakers).

Being on par with garbage is still garbage....
