I am shocked- shocked- to find that gambling is going on in here!

Yeah, I remember it being an odd quote even then. He had signed with the Vikings for the tail, TAIL end of his career, so I’m sure there was probably a little hyperbole underlying the quote for his new hometown fans.

Roger Craig called that game the worst loss in 49er’s history. He said they were THAT confident they were going to win the Super Bowl, until AC wrecked their sh!t up.

100% The “fuckers” at the end just bookends it perfectly!!

I hear you! I honestly read that sentence in the article twice, like it was a joke going over my head (it wouldn’t be the first time).

I take the mailbag seriously. It is never among the most-read items on The Root...

I totally agree. That’s why I don’t think the show was doing “poorly”, I think it was more like they saw 2 years in the future and just concluded it wasn’t worth it (to them).

Creative difference = $$. I think Netflix is looking around at it’s stable of Marvel shows and concluding that they are becoming too expensive, or are not responsible for bringing in/holding subscribers, et cetera. Everyone on Luke Cage was probably due a huge bump in pay, so they decide to cut bait. It’s honestly a

A white woman answered the age-old question “Can I kick it?” with a definitive “no”...

Of course not, you never are. That’s why you ASK for that or more. Then you negotiate down. But if you start with “just take him off our hands”, then you won’t get ANYTHING.

Yes, what the Timberwolves should do is ask for shitty players and shitty picks, just so they can move along because the sports world tells them that’s what should be done. Then they should take a long look with a lens full of schadenfreude, and mock themselves daily, over and over.

Jesus fucking christ. A lot of people getting worked up about you daring to question the usage of “appreciation” in a statement from a company rep regarding the firing of staff. Good luck to you!

I am old, worked in numerous bars, and NEVER seen it made with milk/cream, always have seen it made with ice cream. Same as a grasshopper. Plus, there are a bunch of drinks in drink books (like Bartender’s Companion) that are not made with the “right” recipe. Clientele changes, times change, etc.

I am also old, worked in numerous bars, and NEVER seen it made with milk/cream, always have seen it made with ice cream.

This is a joke, right?

Ethan, any word on Firewatch? Originally kept thinking it’s release would be “any day”, but it seems to have fallen completely off the radar.

Okay.

Jesus christ. You DO know that sashimi has to be prepared a certain way??? That it’s not the same as other ‘raw’ fish??? You do know that there are different types of ‘raw, right???? You keep stating ‘raw’ and ‘cooked’ as blanket terms that definitely mean one thing. THAT. IS. INCORRECT.

Yes, that is why I agreed with you and stated that no, Kumicho’s example was not “literally”, but you are being pedantic because you are focusing on the term “literally” versus what their point was. That is all. You just have to accept the fact that what one person calls ‘cooked’ may not be the same as another. I’ve
