GM wins is the best advanced stat.
GM wins is the best advanced stat.
The fucking GM and a mid-grade reliever getting into a near-physical confrontation in the clubhouse after a 21-run win is just about the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard about any baseball team ever. It’s absolutely fucking bonkers that after a 21-run win the GM would even feel the need to go into a bullpen to confront…
I think a manager in baseball and his steady hand is sometimes taken for granted among the major sports - just fill out the lineup card and let it rip. I’m not the first to say this but I think Dave Martinez is a major part of this problem, the Nats seem to be out coached regularly.
Reminds me of my favorite Dad joke.

If The Root does cover this story, it will be followed by 50 comments justifying these statements on the basis of how Asians, as an ethnic group, are benefiting from white privilege in order to exploit the black community.
“DADDDDYYYYYY DIDNT GIVE ATTENTIOONNNNNNN”
I once attended a week 3 preseason Ravens game as a fan of the opposing team. My my team scored a touchdown and I gave a mild applause. At this point, a 40 something man in front of me (wearing a Ravens jersey I should add) knocked the beer out of my hand and tried to fight me.
Now that’s just disre2pectful.
I think it was completely accidental. Saying Urena hit Acuna on purpose would imply the Marlins had an actual plan in place.
I’m confused here- the press corps shouldn’t address the fact that Trump is/will be revoking clearances from government officials critical of him? I honestly don’t get what this post is about.
They said the same thing about Drew.
Are you kidding me? Capitalism was the driving force in the world during WW2 as well. One of the main reasons Japan decided to attack us was because we imposed sanctions on them! So much for economic activity being a sufficient disincentive against blowing up, say, Pearl Harbor right?
You do realize that our overwhelmingly powerful military is the reason why we have the luxury of wringing our hands over air strikes that kill 51 people rather than industrialized states routinely slaughtering tens of millions, right?
