Would that be a pic of Gen. George Custer or the smallpox virus?

This, the railroad industry has been using what could be considered a form of diesel/electric hybrids without the batterys for decades, and I can see this being adapted to semis. Put a smaller diesel engine in a rig with a genset on the back, enough motor under the cab or maybe at the rear axles to motivate things

And remember, plastic represent a long term sequestration of carbon.

Corollas are important! They keep people from buying the cars we want!

Are you daft? Have you seen Ludicrous Mode? These things can out-accelerate 99.9% of cars you can buy at a dealer and not ridiculous shit like Koenisigg.

I agree. It is a savvy move. FCA is so hopelessly behind in the tech area they don’t really give a shit about driver info. Maybe in Sergio’s wet dreams Google will just buy the whole company to begin electrification and autonomy in order to do battle in our shared mobility future.

Fair enough. Internet judgment is a narrow view, indeed.

Good. The sooner commuting appliances go all electric, the sooner we can tell OPEC to fuck off. Let China deal with them.

Did you just admit on Jalopnik that your are giving up an A6 Avant for an SUV?

You can just give me the C63 and I’ll work for free. :)

Are you kidding me with this woman? Fuck people like this. That is absolutely unacceptable not only as a parent, but as a decent human being. I hope she stands near a mustang at the next cars and coffee.

Pontiac Solstice/Saturn Sky, the 1988 Pontiac Fiero GT. The Buick Reatta (check its computer screen), Mercury Capri, Honda Prelude, 1st gen Acura Legend sedan and Coupe, Acura Vigor, Lexus LS/SC400, Infiniti M30, Mercedes 300E/CE

Non-gearheads will see it and say “Is that a Rolls-Royce?”

As someone who takes car services much more often than he drives, that R-class is hands down the best vehicle in which to be driven around. Perfect height for entry/exit from the back seat. Not too low like a Town Car or too high like an SUV.

I’m pretty sure it’s impossible to hate the Cayman. Try all you like—it’s impossible.

I have no issue with BMW or MB or Audi slapping as many badges as they want on the interior or specific areas of the exterior to a lower-level car. But when you start including it in the model name, you’ve lost me.

Exactly. To me a very useful stat would be a percentage of average total repair costs / average sale price of the car. That would give a clear indication of how much people are willing to budget into said repairs, yet covers every demographic equally.

Indeed, that’s why I’m more interested in the third party warranty company stats. It’s just frequency of repairs, average cost of repair, and inconvenience and it can make for some interesting reading:

I am sorry you had to watch your dad embarrass himself by trying mask his feelings of inadequacy through abusing strangers.

i’m learning to respect the guys in full gear + helmet— they’re the one’s that will be following the rules of the road and just trying to move with traffic.
