“I’d take this $25K car that’s pretty unsafe in a crash and fairly slow over this $100K car with every modern safety feature, is much faster, and handles better, any day. Because reasons.”
So press release from the company about something that will be out maybe next year is real news. Actual testing of what they are shipping now is not.
Got it.
Old people.
Who have money.
Of course he doesn’t drink. He hydrates using enemas.
Don’t know vettes, though this is my favorite gen in my favorite color. Does the supercharger stress the engine internals too much? These are really solid motors in stock form, do they hold up when you turn them in to torque monsters this way?
Oh sweet evil Darwin, that is a magnificent find. I really want one, and keep having to remind myself that as a DD there is no storage and it would just be impossibly impractical.
But...dang, so sexy. And affordable. And low mileage.
Seriously?
My ‘10 Benz will not let you lock the doors from the outside if the engine is running.
Do you somehow think that where the US gets it oil has anything to do with the price? That’s why all the talk of relying on only oil from North America is silly- if global supplies are constrained, global prices rise. Or do you think ExxonMobil and Chevron are so patriotic that if less oil is coming out of the Middle…
Under Obama according to Forbes domestic production was up 88% (record for any administration) and imports were down 60%.
In less than 10 years it’ll be hard to find a gas car on a new car lot.
How are Trump’s policies upping gas prices?
Current car is the first one with a slushbox (and I’m in my 50s). Had it for three years and really miss a manual. But its so darn good in every other way, and it has less than 70K miles on it, I’d be a fool to get rid of it.
But where I live the drivers are so bad, I figure it’s a matter of time before some fool…
What does the manufacturer think their target market is? Commuters who have a garage (so they can plug it in), can afford a $10K second car, but are cheap enough to want to save $8 a day in gas?
Seems obvious they need to build a separate brand to sell through their existing dealer network. Aim it at both new riders and returning riders who are buying on functionality not brand.
Same trick all the ponzi schemes use - conspicuous displays of wealth to appeal to aspirations. The last rally was Bitfinex using tether to pump and dump. The CFTC has started to pay attention, so I seriously doubt they’ll risk it again. Wonder if they can find a new way to manipulate the numbers. If not, we might…
I’m a terrible person for how much I enjoyed that story, lol.
Not remotely a parallel, if you set my car on fire I need to replace it.
And if he hadn’t done this....those same dollars would have already been spent.
