I knew a young guy who played poker rooms pretty regularly. He got in to medical school, got his financial aid money, and had a six or eight week window before he had to pay it to the school. He had something just over $50K as I recall to start, and netted about a $20K profit in that time window.
He said a lot of it

They stifled innovation? Yet where is Silicon Valley, the poster child for innovation.

“at participating locations”

You think fast food and Walmart give workers set schedules? They vary every week.

This ruling will not affect Uber. Their core business is not providing rides, it is matching people for ride shares.

But they taught me that when I learned to drive in the 70s.

I had a buddy who bought a new car. Lived in a hilly area. He would use the transmission to brake, on the theory that the transmission was under warranty and the brakes were not.
Not sure what happened to his Dodge Intrepid, he eventually became so annoying I voted him off the island.

I have a black interior, and live in south Florida. Never has the seat been hot when I sit in it, even when the car is 110 inside. I suspect the window tint plus the sunshade that covers the sunroof does the job.

Every plaid seat insert represents the loss of a perfectly good skirt some stripper could have been (briefly) wearing.

Any interior with wood. It’s a motor vehicle, not the cabin Lincoln was born in. Give me brushed aluminum, or even just plastic. Wood looks so out of place in a car to me.

Those countries have largely unionized workforces, who negotiate pay by industry/sector. So while there is no *national* minimum wage, nearly all of the jobs do have a minimum wage that’s in the union contract.
Nice way to try to mislead.

You ignore that we export negative effects. America’s appetite for illegal drugs creates incredible levels of violence and corruption in Mexico.
For the US, it isn’t a problem, it’s an opportunity: people can still get drugs, some poor people make money as dealers, and the justice system gets a steady supply of

Neither is gridlocked, except the interchanges during rush hour. Drive either one any time between say 10 am and 3 pm and you’re easily doing the limit.

Maybe they could rename it...

Material on the road surface (like gravel) completely defeats traction control. I found that out on a downhill turn, wet road, covered in leaves. Fortunately I just got a little sideways and got it back, but later experimented on private property with pavement covered with a little gravel and the electronic nannies

Wall keeps out foreign invader

Last time I visited friends in New York City (2016), I parked in Jersey City and took a train in. My car stayed indoors, safe from break-ins, I didn’t have to hassle with parking, and I think I paid $16 a day.

So you think our roads would be better off if the government didn’t maintain them and just hoped people fixed them on their own?

Don’t we already have the emergency one? It’s called limp mode.

From ‘75 onward the Mustang II could be had with a 302 V8. While 140 hp in stock form, it’s ridiculously easy to get it over 200 hp. A small car, with very little road noise, available as a coupe or hatchback with a V8 and a manual.
It was so good, in ‘74 - without even a V8 option - the Mustang II accounted for 4.75%
