It’s even dumber since in Yakuza 4 there’s a mission where as Kiryu in a sidequest you have to fight a gang lead by a woman. Kiryu just beats up the gang and lets the chick walk away.

I mean, if that’s the way the creator feels then that’s how they feel. But, acting like there aren’t badass female characters in Yakuza that Kiryu both admires and acknowledges he would have a hard time beating—Miss Tatsu comes to mind—is a little strange.

Regarding #2: Unless I’m mistaken, all of the characters in the King of Fighters games are engaging in a tournament of consensual violence, where all of the participants know what they’re getting into, what sort of danger is involved, what the rules are, and what compensation and treatment plans are present.
