Diesels usually attract cheapskates who use their vehicles for utility purposes. I say that as compliment, BTW.  They should have offered a ‘utility’ Equinox or stripper version with the diesel.  For trades people ect who need some something a little bigger but not as big as a pickup or minivan.

At least do your own oil changes. Oil change places are scammers and regular shops hate it because its messy and they can’t charge a lot for it.  And usually when you are told the brakes need to be done they are just trying to scare you.  Check them yourselves or get a second opinion.
