The US is more than happy to train their pilots too. Also, Singapore, South Korea, Japan, and Australia train their pilots just fine.

I would say the big difference is the GOP not only wants the status quo but to push it back to the way it was before the early 20th century (monopolies, no regulation, barely any social safety nets). The Dems don’t want to disrupt things.

They can’t have one without the other. It’s almost like NONE of these morons ever went to history class and saw what happens to any country and empire where the income gap gets too large and your middle class become the minority.

Pelosi encompasses the modern Democratic Party. I believe they want to make lives better for the middle class but don’t want to upset the financial status quo. Which basically in the end means doing nothing.

It’s even simpler than this. Go look up a list of her largest donors. Medical Insurance Companies are all over the list.

They call it “Medicare for All” because... name recognition and association. People like Medicare. They’re not afraid of Medicare the way they are afraid of “Single-Payer Healthcare” or “Socialized Medicine”.

How we fund it actually isn’t that important, because we’d be spending less on the new medicare taxes than we’re currently spending for our employer-sponsored healthcare.
