Nah. I lived there. Have you?
Nah. I lived there. Have you?
overpriced, ugly front end, no manual, no thank you
Trophy wife car. That’s the market. That’s it.
Doctor here. Fuck no.
Never did understand why BMW made such awesome cars like the M2 Competition but left a seriously horrible steering feel in it. That has been a deal stopper for me so far. It’s a shame really.
DCT... lifeless steering... yeah... never mind.
The key, is that the PILOT makes FCA 90 million dollars over 7 years.
Good point. I was speaking of the US market but you’re right that requirements in other markets will be different.
horribly, i understand. i own a brz. i only saw one commercial for the fr-s/brz. ever.
Last time I checked, “Playing with a knob” pays his bills. He should give a fuck, especially since consumers in this realm are some of the few that actually vote with their wallet. 991.2 GT3's have over 50% take rate on manuals and the M2 Competition has a 50% take rate for the 6mt. What boggles my mind is that the…
This is a backward perspective. As a population, manual transmission drivers, are more attentive, more driving focused and better drivers than automatic drivers. Then, someone who has the means to buy a new BMW in the US market, is also not typically going to be a new driver who trashes their clutch out of…
BMW manuals are much more robust than you give them credit for. Clutches definitely wear out if that's what you're referring to, but the gears and linkages last for the life of the car. The same cannot be said about the automatics.
Yeah, they’ve completely lost touch with their “evangelist” customers and are simply milking the brand image. The X5 is pretty much literally the 1977 Lincoln Town Car or Buick LeSabre in terms of what it means for their respective makers. I don’t know when this catches up with BMW in a big way - it took 20 years of…
The new Z4 is supposed to be a fun, grant tourOH WAIT THAT DOESN’T HAVE A MANUAL EITHER WHAT THE FUCK BMW.
Can you give us some numbers on how many transmissions BMW has replaced under warranty for user error?
You’re actually arguing that BMW’s manual transmissions are less reliable than their automatics? Now I’ve seen everything.
This is nonsense. Most manual drivers don’t destroy their transmissions, and if people are willing to buy manuals for driving enjoyment, they should have the option. We’re not talking about a 4 cylinder Toyota Camry here; this is the quintessential ///M car. And if being able to afford a car is a prerequisite for…
So let me understand. He’s defending the death of manuals because they’re not good at the ‘Ring?
