You are reading my mind, my man! And it comes with a manual!

Looks good to me!

In 2019, you can buy, new:

Not gonna lie this is the first Jeep I would spend my money on since the YJ.

My thought is that finally Jeep is making a family overland vehicle. I would love a diesel one, put a shell and roof-top tent on it and take it out on extended off-roading trips.

Self-promotion time. In preparation for today’s unveiling I assembled a history of Jeep trucks, since no one (myself included) seems to remember that Jeep not only once built trucks, but did so for 45 years continuously.

When dealing with the stress of people with whom you share genetic material and not much else in close quarters with naught but football and dry poultry whose lack of seasoning is papered over with butter (*blech*), you need to use a pincer movement to really be able to destress.

On the rocks.

At what point is it enough collectivism?

There is also almost no vertical opportunity in that sort of situation, where people can excel and be promoted on merit... There is barely enough of that now... but when government inevitably becomes everyone’s employer, no employee has opportunity.

Their description sounds more like the Depression Era WPA program

Dude is deluding himself anyway. He thinks letting people at least survive on a minimum form of subsistence is a ‘no risk’ situation. Yet, manifestly ALL PEOPLE who can produce no salable capitalistic market output require some form of subsidy to survive.

Collective bargaining by unions already shows us what goes down that road...

This is why the US needs a British National Health style change to our safety net health care scheme. If everyone could rely on that, both startup costs and continuing personnel costs would be drastically lower, and encourage new business.

This is 100% bullshit. Have a nice day.

I’ve always chaffed at the way we consider productivity. For instance, some of the most overcompensated people are professional athletes. What’s productive about grown men playing children’s games? Add to that, it has caused so much of the US educational system’s resources to be spent on sports, rather than, well educa

It’s a lot easier to take risks when you know that you can fail and not end up homeless. It’s a lot easier to quit your day job and open your own business when you know you’ll have health insurance.

Communism is a form of Socialism. Socialism exists along a spectrum shaped like a horseshoe and every country falls on it somewhere.

That was an entire wall of whataboutism that he posted and I scrolled past.

“People who have no stake, and no risk, have no purpose, self-respect, pride in their work, and eventually no hope, and then nothing left to lose.”
