I’m hoping to see Rian Johnson’s trilogy get shit-canned. With the unparalleled success of The Mandalorian, Kennedy is getting a look at the correct way to build onto the star wars universe, that is innovating and telling new stories while also respecting the established lore and fan base.

and it pisses me off that they tossed all of that to bring out palpatine to appease the manchildren who need spoon fed story concepts instead of thinking it through.

I’d rather watch The Phantom Menace than The Last Jedi.

So, I definitely wasn’t a fan of the TLJ. Frankly, I strongly dislike all of the sequels. But I’m curious why people think that Rey being a nobody is a new, radical concept. Isn’t that the story of Anakin Skywalker? Slave from Tatooine, wasn’t he a nobody? Or does he not count, cause of the weird virgin/force birth…

It’s like the movie is so beautiful that no one pays attention to the actual story. Or rather, they pay attention to half the story and ignore the other half that has Poe, Finn, and Rose working hard to get most of the Resistance killed.

Luke is the savior of the galaxy because he is Anakin’s son. The story of Episodes 1-6 is about the fall of Anakin and his redemption by his children. It has ALWAYS been about that and you need to get the fuck over it.

No one would give a shit if Luke was some rando from the planet Hoochimama.

Hell, the Palpatine thing could have worked much better with one key change: make her a failed clone, like Snoke.
