I can also organize my apps into different pages if I need to, but I prefer to keep it to 4 pages. It's the same for Windows 7, 8, and Ubuntu for me. I'm not using a theme, so…

It's just because you've either never cared about how a keyboard functions or that you've never experienced better. I have a Microsoft Sidewinder and the keys are so smooth compared to a cheap keyboard that I will never go back unless finances dictate otherwise. But no, no it's not odd.
