Yeah... part of the problem is that we tend to perceive masculinity as strong and powerful and femininity as docile and weak (along with the dress we culturally correlate with those things). We are adapted to perceive things in this way, even in absence of cultural factors, but it certainly doesn’t mean it makes much

... the body shaming.

Those photos are strange... they look like a 3D render.

This is a completely incomprehensible use of force.

It’s extraordinary how many people are getting call “klansman” and “bigot” in these comments because they express the slightest concern about normalizing physical violence as an appropriate response to rhetoric (however vile).

I can see how it would be troubling given the preceding verbage (“land of dreams and opportunity”)... we tend to associate the word immigration with moving from a “bad” place to a “good” place for the sake of making a better life for yourself even though that isn’t technically a part of the words definition... and he

You don’t understand. You are ignoring the context or just being intentionally provocative. Please stop talking out of your (we all assume, apparently) man mouth.

That is exactly the sort of platitude people spout minutes before they plow through a sedan with a little girl in it.

Check out the Digital Foundry performance analysis (that is more in their wheelhouse). The game is very well optimized.

I think I would find more credibility in your criticisms if you ever actually engaged with any of my points.

I’m fairly certain the movie is going to be fantastic (I’ve been looking forward to it for a year now) but it would be criminal not to point out how well positioned it is at this particular moment in history.

What critic is going to really consider nitpicking this movie (the sort of thing that knocks most great movies

I actually respect that in some small measure. You seem to recognize the underlying moral quandry and are acting a certain way in spite of it. It’s better than the weird moral confusion most of the people replying seem to be illustrating. I also think it’s probably different for a random person on the internet than

Also, what you’re referring to as violence is “knocking a flag down”.

Waving a Confederate flag around at place like this is a good way to enrage people and incite them to fight you. I’m not saying they should fight you, but it’s not like the guy didn’t know he was picking a fight.

You could argue anything (you are free to, after all).

The appropriate response to someone yelling fire in a crowded theater is to appeal to your rights by involving the authorities. The same would be true if this situation was, in fact, like that.
