That was disturbing and eye opening. Thanks for that.

I am a little disturbed at all the people calling Fisher dumb because of her scores. I mean, yes, she is dumb but because she is racist and entitled not because of her scores.

Ok. I have the same twitter handle as well.

Do you know of a way to PM on Kinja? I just saw your comment about Bruno Mars and I'm in the same situation. I'm 27, mom is 55 and she has terminal brain cancer that we just found out about.

Yeah. *Sigh* What could have been...

Now playing

Has anyone ever seen Rideback? It's an anime about a former ballerina using her ballerina skills and reflexes to pilot mecha to fight terrorists. I love that little show.

I wish I had that kind of confidence. Within the past year my facial hair has gotten worse, though I'm not sure why...I haven't had any major lifestyle changes or anything.
If I grew it out it would probably be pretty patchy and mostly on the right side of my face.
But yeah, I will likely neeevvvverrr grow it out

You never know.. A lady at my parents' church is ginger, her husband is Vietnamese and their baby is Asian ginger and the CUTEST.

This happened when I was in high school. The son of one of the astronauts sat next to me in French class. It's a small gesture but we passed around a card for him. What a terrible thing.

Oh god oh god. So I aaaaalllmost lost it to Big Daddy (the Adam Sandler movie) which was playing in the backround. I made him turn it off. I ended up not actually losing it that night and doing it some other night with no music in the backround.

It's nice to see a parent be supportive of their child's atheism/agnosticism for once. A lot of people don't have that. My parents aren't fanatical nutjobs but I know it would break their hearts if my brother or I "came out" to them.

For the first time, I'm completely alone on Christmas. I'm on the other side of the world from my family. All of my friends are either not in the country or have other obligations.

!!! Wow...today I learned...

For the most part the top 10% rule is pretty great for diversity and retaining in-state students. The problem with it is that UT is arguably the best public school in Texas. Everyone and their dog chooses UT. I think they were talking about changing the rule, top 10% everywhere else, top 5% for UT. I'm not sure though.

I knoooow. I'm a plain-looking red head who knew that I likely couldn't get into UT right after high school. I went to community college for a year, worked my ass off and transferred in. I knew that I really wanted to go there because it was the only school in Texas that offered my major at the time. Why didn't she

Exactly. I knew that I wanted to go to UT because it was the only school in Texas that offered the major I wanted. I also knew that I most likely wouldn't be able to get in right after high school. I went to community college for a year, worked my ass off, applied to UT and got in. First choice school, first choice

The guy is 24 years old and went to college. What exactly could she have done?

Love it! I've been looking all over for a blazer like that but I haven't been successful so far.

Reminds me of Love Machine from Summer Wars
