When were you there? My experience so far has been completely different. (I'm not saying you're wrong. Someone will tell me something that happened to them in Japan in the 80s, and I'll be like "Whoa I've never experienced anything close to that".) I'm just curious.

I'm torn because I love Doctor/Rose aaand Doctor/Martha.

Yikes what a terrible person. Person wearing women's clothing in the women's section is obviously shopping for clothes and the Associate just scared away a sale due to assholeishness.

When I was a kid I thought that that eye gunk you have when you wake up was "sleep". You know how they say "rub the sleep from your eyes", I thought that stuff was the actual physical cause of sleepiness and that wiping it away made you wake up.

The one on the far left in the title picture looks like a young Gilderoy Lockheart! (Just me?)

I live in Japan now and that term is fortunately outdated. The latest Japanese census data shows that more and more people are marrying older, with most people under 25 remaining unmarried. Many teens and young adults have never heard of the concept and many that have think it's old-fashioned.

Christmas cake as a term sounds really outdated and weird now (I live in Japan). More people are getting married later and it's become kind of rare to be married that young now.

Yesyesyes. There's a joke that whenever the NYT does a "crazy trends in Japan" piece, only a handful of people are actually doing it.

You guuuys. I was hanging out with my friends tonight and I met this hot Australian guy. Problem. He lives pretty far from me. He also plans on going back to Australia in the spring. Nooo duuude why do you have to be so hot and adorable and live so far and maybe go back right around the time I am planning to move to

That actually happened to me at the airport a few years ago. I had my passport out in my hand and the person insisted I needed my driver's license. There was a long line of people behind me at the time so I didn't argue and dug it out. I still don't know why they insisted on the driver's license.

[geekout.blogs.cnn.com] Talk about conflicting information.. One says that women hate otaku and the other says that women love otaku.

*sigh* I wish Japan would step it up. But it might be for the best that if/when Aiko marries she'll be getting out.

I completely forgot about these and how badly I wanted one.

*flails with you*

Now playing

Relevant. But probably not for younger kids though. I can't wait until 2012.

Crap I have a big international flight coming up with Delta. What did they do if I may ask?

Wow that's awful. Did she seriously hurt you? That's really terrifying.

I refuse to add parents or grandparents and I'm beginning to think that it might have been a mistake to add my aunts. My brother has a strict "no family aside from siblings" rule that I should have followed. My aunts aren't that bad...it's just whatever I post will get to my parents anyway and they'll ask me about

I'm the same way! I have no idea with the deal with that is either.

Ahhh ok. So did Snape use his own wand to kill Dumbledore or did he use Draco's (which Harry later disarmed him of)?
