Early iDrive was and still is terrible. Crappy shifter that would either feel like a fisher price toy or break. The worst point…

If you haven’t driven one, what do you know about the build quality? 

You don’t want to pack a cheese and charcuterie tray to enjoy in the Flying J parking lot for 50 minutes while you regain another 4 hours of driving range?  Sounds so appealing.

Can’t afford one. Or any new car. And by the time EV’s are in a used market that I could afford, they’ll need new batteries which will cost more than the car is worth.
