it is ridiculous that they fuck up such a simple thing. And even when the machines work you can only get ONE FLAVOR. Fuck you if you want something besides vanilla, i guess.

Like by me, in Colorado, i think they got rid of most mask requirements. I have no idea what these clowns are out there fighting for? I guess in many ways its good to not give them any attention. There is a real war on, so how redneck truckers feel is far from my concern.
If it weren’t for the fact that the people most likely to use the defense probably support the truckers, it seems valuable to point out that Virginia has a Stand Your Ground Law on the books. Ya know, for the truckers’ safety; it sure would be a shame for folks to get shot when they aggressively approach people…
Agreed. And, in that metallic grey... *chef’s kiss.
Dark City is definitely grim.
Not just the scenes. The Matrix actually did reuse several props and sets from Dark City, as they were owned by Warner Bros. They were both filmed in Australia about a year apart.
When the dealerships build a sales system designed to purposefully obfuscate what is actually a simple capital goods purchase, then that same tool can be flipped around and used on them. It’s not the first time this sort of thing has happened.
“Ah, crap. I’m an idiot! Man, I left my drivers license at home. Can I just sign these now and I’ll bring by my license tomorrow? Ah, good. Thanks.”
This. I’ve never made any large financial transactions where the business wasn’t checking my ID ten ways from Sunday.
He would actually go to dealerships and get vehicles but put them in their names and sign all the paperwork, sign their names
Any Contour that is still on the road is over 20 years old, therefore very inexpensive, so it’s likely driven by people of low socio-economic status (who may be more likely to drink and drive).
I see SVTs occasionally, it’s always weird.
Said the same thing. Outside of seeing an SVT one at a car show years ago, they are the ghost car of the automotive world.
My coworker got pulled over in Contour with his revoked license about a year ago
Drunk drivers are excellent at being low key.
There are 100 left. 3 of them have DUIs.
If you catch a person drunk behind the wheel of a Ford Contour; they had nothing to lose in the first place. That is someone who’s on year 7+ of giving up. Hell, getting arrested is practically an errand for them at that point.
Posted elsewhere, but these things are amazingly durable, both in reliability and in their ability to withstand abuse.
Ford Contours last for-fucking-ever. They seriously seem more durable than Crown Vics or most of the trucks on that list. My wife had one in high school/college, and it was a hand-me-down to two siblings, then gifted to a sibling’s friend, then their girlfriend.
If you have enough DUI’s you don’t have many options I guess.
