I will admit it. I was/Am a fast food addict. I mean shit i read a daily blog about fast food and casual dining.. But within the last year as costs have gone up, i’ve lost my appetite for this garbage.

Maybe - they can be a mixed bag. A nice used car with low miles and good maint. records sure. But just driving a crappy cheap car to save money.. no thanks.

no, exactly not me. ive never driven a shitty car. Even when i was broke I made sure that my ride to work was comfortable, air conditioned, and well maintained. A broke down old car may save dollars at first but getting something new with warranty can save so much money.

I dont think thats what its about - its deciding you only live once, and there is no reason to spend years in a shitty old car that makes you hate life. sometimes everyone wants something nice. A nice bed, a nice coffee a nice car - who cares. if people lived within their means the economy would collapse.

well you do hit on something good here. Buying or leasing new and getting something with warranty coverage and sometimes oil changes and stuff thrown in can really land in your favor. buying an older car with higher maint costs can be a real drag.

yeah i used to commute quite a bit - i really came to hate the 6speed -the two track days a year i did were simply not worth it for the 300 other days a year stuck in bumper to bumper traffic. i moved into a luxo barge with a 10 speed auto, and i love it.
