Totally agree. Game definitely has some nice character art, but some characters are just kind of messy and ambiguous in 3d, especially the Time Traveler who is just an indecipherable visual mess. It took me finding her cave paintings to realize she's a black girl with a visor rather than some sort of cyborgy thing.

Huh, interesting how the opinion in their comment section are almost evenly split as to which looks better.

*high five*

You are overestimating the amount of research that will be done by the dude who said Gangnam Style was "meaningless" and implied it is not comprised of words, because he does not speak Korean.

It would still be usable as an instrument, but changing the wind direction could be made much way less time-consuming and obnoxious by reducing it to a UI element and shortening or removing the animation.

I'm being hyperbolic, but I guarantee you someone will be outraged over this, and I'm singling out O'Reilly because he's aired dozens of "blame videogames" segments over the years.

Outraged O'Reilly Factor segment on this in t-minus one month!

Yeah, there's a huge difficulty gap between normal enemies and big daddies. Playing on Hard feels like normal from other FPS, until you go up against a big daddy that takes your entire supply of ammo to kill and can two-shot you. Fully researching any enemy makes them a pushover, which is important since the game

I literally only have one request for this remake: Let me skip or fast-forward the animations for "fishing a chest up, opening it." It is literally 15 seconds long, unskippable, and I fish up around damn near every one when I replay WW. I bet I spend an hour per playthrough watching that same animation. That is my one

You should! It's a stellar game, and the "good guy" ending packs the most emotion into a 30-second FMV that I've ever experienced.

I guess, I didn't really care about the story too much because the world was so compelling. The plot was okay-ish and a totally self-contained parallel story to the first games. Any sequels are likely to be similar parallels, starring whip-wielding horsewoman Fury and gun-slinging horseman Strife.

It plays very little like the first game, which was a pretty linear combat-driven action adventure with lite puzzling and little to no platforming. This one has parkour-style area traversal similar to Assassin's Creed and is mostly nonlinear with huge open worlds to explore and very few puzzles. If you hate all those

**may NOT have a single original idea

As I just wrote in another article:

I hope they find a good one. The Darksiders games are a bouillabaisse of all of the best action/adventure gaming has to offer. Like a damn fine soul/funk cover band, that series may have a single original idea, but damn will you enjoy yourself. I really hope to see a Darksiders 3.

Ugh, do I have to watch beer pour on my smartphone to build up my Fizziness rating?

Sounds like you're fairly young. It's an acquired taste and doesn't generally taste good to kids and teens, kind of like cracked pepper. But an IPA tastes about as much like a stout as Mtn Dew tastes like Dr Pepper.

Spoiler:

"Gothic isn't really a genre of music"

That's awesome. Jez has the best commenting community on the internet, I literally read it for the comments more than the articles. I skim the articles and skim straight to the comments if I just know they're going to be especially interesting. I've learned a ton, and it's helped me to break some of my misconceptions
