It was in a (an onscreen) meeting in Peter's office with Diane, Peter, Eli and Kalinda. Diane came in thinking that they maybe reconcidering the judgeship. It was a pretty packed episode, there a lot going on.

But we did see Peter and Eli offering the SA to Diane on last season finale, giving us one of the greatest monologue from Diane - [Kalinda:] You all right? [Diane:] You mean because they offered me the state's attorney's office and not supreme court justice? And they didn't come to me first? And they only came to me…

And the juxtaposition of that shot and the 2nd season finale ending shot (hotel corridor).

I love that the show gave Alicia and will a nice one last scene together. and given that it was their only mutual scene in this episode, it was probably the last one Margulies and Charles shot together, which makes it even more special.
