As someone born and raised on a family single income farm, I truly believe we can do both things.

I posted in another comment but I think a good model for livestock is Parker Ranch in Hawaii. Grass fed cows that free-roam a tree laden landscape. I think that is the way to go for sustainable beef but I know it is not the reality for mega corps, and THAT is the problem here.

And you'll tell anyone you can about it any chance you get.

So I guess those of us who thought Roland was gay (and having a relationship with Tom) were incorrect. Or at least the show chose not to reveal it, or leave the possibility as subtext. I’m glad Roland found his canine companions, though. That scene with the stray dog was heartwarming.

I’m sure she didn’t just become racist overnight. Did they not check her social before engaging her services?

It is already illegal for health insurance companies to mine genetic databases. But, probably they will be using that information, eventually. Obviously that information can help them predict the cost of potential beneficiaries, but it is also a chance to be proactive and deal with potential crises before they happen.

My bet - orange (officially called ‘red’) fiestaware. We’ve got out own little collection. We joke with guests that it keeps the hors d’oeuvres warm. Good eatin’. (Some we have to reassure that that’s not really true.)

It’s uranium ore, not purified or refined. Chunks pulled out of the ground. Yes, it should have been handled differently, but unless there’s a missing piece here, like that it’s more concentrated than the story would indicate or that it was used in an application that could have gotten dust airborne, there’s not a lot

Fun fact, a handful of Uranium ore emits as much radiation as...
*drumroll please*
About 10 bananas. Yes seriously. #NonStory

I’m looking at this image, and all I can think is:

Unpopular opinion: The DNC fucking over Bernie Sanders is what put Trump in office. It’s literally partially Hillary’s fault.

I am in the middle of a Voyager re-watch and WOW I did not know this!

Asimov once suggested that Heinlein’s politics aligned with his wife. His first wife was a liberal and he worked for Upton Sinclair. His second wife was a Cold Warrior and he penned Starship Troopers which glorifies the military. His third wife had a problem with any authority and he ends up describing himself saying:

While I admit to not having read his letters, I’ve read Stranger in a Strange Land, I’ve read The Moon is a Harsh Mistress, which does for anarchy what Starship Troopers did for fascism. His books are challenging, thought-provoking, and actively ask the readers to engage with ideas that he clearly knows they’ll

I’ll never understand the people who saw this and only saw a straight action film. The satire is still great.

That’s the part i hate the most about this. It’s like they didn’t even try when they  threw nukes in with coal. It's a fucking stupid assumption.

You mean rely on clean and safe nuclear power instead of dirty and inefficient fossil fuels?! ABSURD!

A villain you can sympathize with is the best kind. Same reason Magneto is so great. Black Panther was a phenomenal movie.

I find it ironic that the only way to achieve even small parts of this stupid proposal is to actually nuke up.

Clearly a paid article by big nuca. EVERYONE knows that the radiation only exists because we discovered nucular power. STOP SHILLING with your lies about radiation being natural, if its so natural THEN WHY DIDN’T CANCER EXIST BEFOER 1945 HUH.
