Well, maybe. The problem with weighted average is what are you averaging. For example, a lot of what we export to China is basic foodstuff (like soybeans) which China has a political incentive to keep low cost. That is a low margin commodity that they import because they cannot produce locally.

Taxes cannot be inherently good or evil. Regardless of your beliefs about taxes, that is a bad sentence.

Except we have all sorts of ballot initiatives in California that permenantly change things.

The Judges unanimously deciding to block a ballot initiate on the argument that having it on there would “do harm” despite it needing to be approved by both the state and federal government. They blocked it politically.

That’s an entirely different argument than saying its illegal.

Its funny how many Kinja commenters are pro-popular vote for the presidential election but are against this ballot initiative.
