A reminder to everyone:

I dunno, making people buy a game then buy the cards to play the game then skimming some money off the top when they trade/sell cards sounds like a shitty business model that everyone should be glad failed.

What Is Already Dead May Never Die

gonna push back on this a little bit, it’s definitely not what the first two baldur’s gates were, but there’s a lot of d&d’s ruleset that made it in. adjusted a bit for video game purposes, but based on what i’ve played of d&d (mostly just 5E with a couple games of 3.5 years ago) it’s a reasonably faithful adaptation

Please let this catch on elsewhere. I still can’t comprehend that GTAV (and kinda Skyrim) is a three console generation game because they pretty much just went, “Why develop a whole new game every few years when Online will just keep us rolling in money forever?”

Looks like I’m skipping Dragon Age 4. If my Hawke can’t do The Carlton and have an electric green zebra print bow that shoots flaming fucshia arrows that go “BAWK-KAWK” every time I fire then it just doesn’t align with my image of the Dragon Age universe, and I’ll be spending my hard earned money elsewhere.

Sure, and damage control, in this instance isn’t necessarily bad, right? “We messed up, here is what you want.” seems like an okay sentiment?

I got around to playing Mass Effect Andromeda last year and honestly it’s actually pretty good? Like, I still think it’s my least favorite in the franchise but it’s still mostly a good game. (Admittedly I played it well after launch so I didn’t really run into any technical issues.)

The worst thing about Andromeda was that you knew you were looking at a solid game with a bunch of mandated bloat stapled onto it. If they were allowed to make the game they wanted it probably would have been a solid start to a (sort of) new series.

On the one hand: It told us nothing.

Yeah, i mean i liked him in DA2 but...i really hope he isn’t a party member again.

Yeah you had to figure when they announced this trailer that it was simply damage control to distract from everything going on.

I feel bad for saying this but... meh. No gameplay, no release date. And I can’t even be mad because the poor devs are probably being overworked, so whenever this does comes out it will probably need several patches to get good :(

This is weird. On one hand I do find modern cancel culture to be excessive and overreactive. And on the other hand racist jokes are shitty and unnecessary. But on the third unexpected why the fuck do I have three hands hand, who the dick wrote that line and thought “huh huh...I made a funny”?

The Green Hill.

Yeah, that’s a phenomenally stupid line. Of course, “ban the movie” and “review-bomb the related game” are also phenomenally stupid.

I’m Chinese myself, and... yeah, it’s kind of obnoxious, but I’m also kind of numb to China pitching a bitch about everything. This seems like a really petty thing comparatively.

“The TJA informs journalists and other members of the media that “there’s never a reason to publish someone’s deadname in a story” [emphasis ours]—something that happened repeatedly this week in relation to Page.”

It’s getting so hard to communicate these days. Every god damned thing you say, write or do is a crime against humanity.

Counter point, Dragon Age Inquisition is the wort of the series, start with the best, the first one... and maybe play the second.
