I own the base game, but the Origin store is (or was when I went looking) a nightmare to navigate, so I never bothered getting any of the DLC.

The game sometimes feels like a slog, but it’s still a quality game, and I really like the characters and art-style. I just wished it wasn’t so grindy. If you haven’t played the game before, I’d recommend to avoid falling into the trap that’s called the Hinterlands, and resist your tendency to be completionist and…
huh, If I reacted like that every time i’ve said something dumb I’d have to burn my house down
Yes, so much this. I love games most when they are brand new and everyone is just trying out random stuff. Then the nerds crunch all the numbers on their spreadsheets and every gets obsessed with the “meta” or whatever the BS term is these days. Then everyone is chasing the same cookie cutter builds and if you…
Freedom of speech is one of those things that the founding fathers would take out of the first amendment if they saw all the shitheels on the internet today.
Ok, that’s a lot of comments from people who LIKE anime - and don’t get me wrong, thank you for contributing. How about people who DON’T like anime? What don’t you like? How can these dislikes be alleviated? Are some of them preconceptions (and wrong)?
I would assume a lot of non-anime fans would be put off by both it’s reliance on some genre tropes(goofy pure-hearted character that’s simple but loves her friends), not to mention that it’s filled with cutesy underage girls.
I don’t particularly recommend Black Lagoon which are decent but storyline is kinda flat as it tried so hard to be edgy and cool all the freaking time. “See, i make cool ass western reference.” is something you’ll hear like 10 times in 5 minute span.
I first watched it with a group of friends that included a major anime-skeptic, and he audibly cringed every time Edward did his whole “don’t call me short” yelling schtick. It was a shame, because he said he was repeatedly getting into it, only to be taken out of it by another screaming jag.
Yeah FMA is the perfect encapsulation of why I never got into anime. The story is great and the characters are great and the action is great but the wild tonal shifts are so off-putting.
Must have stolen a sweetroll to get a sentence like that.
Recently, having nothing better to do, I rewatched all the movies. I braced myself for the bizarre CGI Renesmee, and when she finally appeared on the screen I had an “aha!” moment. I always knew something was off, but could never put my finger on it because I had never had a baby when I saw the movie the first time.…
1) because she IS an annoying teenager
2) because her annoying teenager-ness got Maya killed.
Can they make Ava less annoying ?
Oh I think he’s gonna win. But cheating helps cover all of his bases and gives him a margin to crow about at his rallies for the next four years.
OWL has gone from exciting to boring to catastrophic. Which at least is exciting again, in the way all trainwrecks are.
Trying real hard not to let loose some anger and/or take it real personal that the video game-film genre has a huge chance at gaining legitimacy through Cate Blanchett’s casting... and Kotaku’s only take is to have one of its reviewers remind us that he doesn’t like Borderlands.
I am a life long fan and sometimes apologist for the Fallout series, but I have avoided 76 like the ...ahem.. plague because I truly loathe always online, games-as-service games to my very core.
ConSUUUUUUUUME!
I gotta say - I’m with him. Overwatch is pretty dead. I just lost all passion for it as well.
