The hideaway mechanism on the ‘68 & ‘69 Chargers is ridiculously simple—the headlight switch is also a pneumatic switch—it’s only vacuum and a simple spring catch that operates the hideaway door. ‘70 Chargers switched to electric—I assume so the doors are seen rising simultaneously.
I believe hideaways (pop-ups, etc.) are now illegal, but since we’re just putting up wish lists, I enjoy grinding the hideaway axe since as I point out, hideaways look great.
