So the insurance will run you per month around 150% what the EV itself costs to lease--ouch!
“...he assembled a custom rig to hold the engine inside the truck’s six-foot bed.”
Yes, it will cost you $400 a month to insure a Hyundai Kona.
Normally I would chide you for such an opinion, but then I looked at this thing. I don’t think there’s another vehicle design out there right now that better exemplifies the “bar of soap” aesthetic than this one. The profile looks like a default shape for an SUV placed on a switch or UI interface.
OK, fine. S0 how ‘bout some research into what one of these Konas truly costs? Let’s see some numbers with insurance premiums rolled into the monthly cost of this EV. Would it be $500? $600? Just how onerous does insurance nowadays make EV ownership? Rates from State Farm or Farmers for various locations around the…
I guess when your vehicles are as aerodynamic as cinder blocks, then the only direction is up--aerodynamic improvement--however little it must be.
Never thought I’d be reading about Mercedes improving the aerodynamics of the G-Wagen.
The absolutely rotten Saudis (“Yes, we supplied most of the 9/11 hijackers. Murdering journalists on foreign soil, chopping them up, and getting away with impunity is our thing.”) sinking even more billions into that white elephant of a company is at least something dragging down those scum.
Oh hot running opti-spark/cooling. HARD pass.
Anyone can style one of these box-on-wheels and do just as well as the paid stylists. There’s nothing there—a bored 7th grade boy during study hall could sketch a design as “good” as the pros’ effort.
Gotta wait for the adjusters to hash it out. A nearby boat ramp witnessed the collision and the rumor is that bridge may not be at fault here.
Selling dude is right in the ballpark for less-than-stellar ‘96 Vettes for what he’s asking:
If this is a partial collapse (as I’ve heard it described several times this morning) then I don’t know what a full collapse would be.
At least Hathaway can genuinely act--not something I can say for other actresses who bafflingly get more screentime.
Well your JPG perfectly illustrated what I wrote. I guess “fan = fanatic” is for real for these idiots.
this was originally meant to be a stop gap car to generate some more cash flow for chrysler and then the recession happened and they decided instead of clean sheet design a new charge let’s turn it into a whole new franchise and message the platform for 11 more years.
5 years is forever in fads. All of the Disco Era fits into about half that time.
The New Beetle’s first model year was 98, PT Cruiser was 2000, SSR 2003. They were all pretty closely released, the biggest issue for the SSR was cost & practicality, whereas the PT Cruiser could be had fairly cheap & seat 5, and even the Beetle could seat 4 (and was also much cheaper).
