Why? Did I use it incorrectly? Do you just not like to see an accurately-used word in repetition?

Clearly.
Hard disagree. They/Them is needlessly confusing. The whole point of picking GN pronouns is pedantic in nature. It’s to stop yourself from being assumptive or prescriptive. I do realize that most of the time They/Them can be clear, but the point is that there exist times when it is NOT clear (“It’s new hire day! We’ll…
I doubt many will compare it to the original Ocean’s film. But, yeah, it’s going to have to compete with the Clooney-led remake series, and that’s probably going to hurt it.
FWIW: You’re right on.
All of your examples are just variations on “hold the saber and turn it on so that it kills someone”, like Kylo did with Han in TFA. That’s not the same thing as “using the dynamic properties of your weapon, mid-fight”.
Honestly, I love the TOR cinematics and they are probably the reason I have such high hopes for lightsaber battles. Their fight choreography is 10x better than anything in any of the movies. An absolute delight to watch and yes, I emphatically find those much better.
But can we be honest here, my dude? Just between you, me and the entire readership of Kotaku? This ain’t about ethics. This is about you not wanting to approach people and trying to rationalize it into being something noble, instead of just accepting that you’ve chosen not to.
That’s what I’m saying! That fight was bunk. But then, it’s par for the course, with Star Wars. Force users display incredible power, and then never use in it their fights.
Yeah, thewbacca pointed this out. I’ll be on the lookout for it next time, but it’s just something I missed.
Ehhhh. Rebels fights are just too cartoony. No weight to them, super float-y. And they still don’t use the force, like they ought to. Even in that fight, there was, what, 4 uses of the force? Some lightsaber pulls and a long-jump.
Hmmm! You might be right! I didn’t think of that, in the moment. I’ll have to catch it again, to see!
***SPOILERS***
Yeah, fair enough. I don’t like the concept of force ghosts, really. Especially not ones that can interact with the material world. But they did make the best out of that bad idea, with Yoda, I think.
Go on! Don’t hold back now!
Ah, right on. I’ll have a look for it, next time. But, again, a little different, because of the drop and definitely not the scope of what I was talking about.
I’ll watch it again, but I didn’t see it. If she did the lightsaber pass-through, that’s cool, but it’s definitely not what I’m talking about. What I’m talking about wouldn’t have been able to be missed.
Not to step on your point here, but I literally do something like that about once a week.
Agreed! But he didn’t look like a jedi swordsman. We’ve never seen that before, and it could be incredible.
I’d definitely be rooting for Kylo to turn. It makes too much sense; it would close out the Skywalker saga with the last “Skywalker” ending it. Also, we’d have the first movie as an analog to the prequel trilogy, of following who turns out to be the bad guy.
