I like The Detour

Two random things to add:

You've made this point several times now, and it's a glaring oversight on her part, but I'll ask anyway: does overlooking Holly Hunter from Always or Goldie Hawn from Sugarland Express indicate she doesn't see them too, or does she sometimes make a mistake, and other times not see 'black women as women?'

Wasn't Holly Hunter one of the leads in Always? Been a long time since I watched that one (probably the theatrical release).

Dr. Detroit had the same exact problems

Hosted by Van Heflin

Gunga galunga … gunga, gunga-lagunga

Mrs. Landingham did indeed die, but the actress (Kathryn Joosten) didn't.

How about a Fresca?

My first thought was John Spencer on The West Wing. Leo was a great, flawed character, especially the first few seasons.

Yeah, a bloomin' book!

You mean that posh bird that gets everything wrong?

An early clue to the new direction?

How wrong can I be before I am right?

No, but ads on other networks avoid the details. It's a common broadcasting practice to say generic terms. TBS has been detail-specific for a while

You beat me to it - sorry!

Especially for the guy writing them

She said that she was working for the ABC News. It was as much of the alphabet as she knew how to use

They call her Samantha but she looks like Elsie

It was a fine idea at the time…
