I’m conflicted too. However, I firmly believe that if you tell people that they are completely unredeemable, it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy and they will decide that being a pervert is their unwavering identity. That's pretty dangerous.

I don’t like sex offenders any more than the next person, but I think it’s pretty dangerous to make their lives so damned unlivable that the ones who want to be rehabilitated lose any motivation to stay on the right path.

In Ontario there are programs to help rehabilitated sex offenders reintegrate. It has been very successful and makes a lot of sense when you read about it.

This is something Americans say because their vanilla pudding comes with a coating of quotation marks and a flavour deriving from burnt sugar or whatever. If they ate real vanilla, they wouldn’t use the word pejoratively.

Except, most military rapes are men raping other men. Not just men, but men trained in combat.

I got really annoyed watching the political news shows this weekend when liberal commentators were saying that neither candidate was talking about policy - and all they were doing was attacking the other.

If we can afford to spend as much as we do on our military, we should be able to afford this as well.

THIS. Hillary is such a policy wonk super star. It is doesn’t get big rage headlines, but it rocks my world.

The one thing I hope gets addressed by this is the mental health issues of the homeless. It seems like on some levels it would (With police interaction in particular), but I keep hoping there will be at some point reform of what St. Ronnie gutted.
