IIRC the suit was because tesla found a script where it was written that the tesla ran out of juice with pre-written jokes that supported the fictional narrative. I know it’s all just for fun, but I would’ve been pissed too.

Never hit a lawyer unless you’re going to kill them.

It feels like you also need a team of lawyers next to you whenever you criticize Tesla on Jalopnik.

I guess he didn’t want to follow The Stig as the next driver launched into space at the wheel of a Tesla...

In the old days a president getting a divorce while still in office would be a huge blow.

3rd in most cars with a 6 speed only goes up to ~80

Six speeds are great if they’re designed as close ratio fives with an overdrive for freeway MPG.

My old 991 7-speed in regular driving was usually 1-2-3-5-7. Just too many gears. The new BRZ with it’s short final drive is now 1-2-4-6, though 6th revs at 3,400 at 75. Yikes!

I must be doing it wrong... I’m getting into 3rd at 100mph...

Image this, but more

Came here for this, leaving satisfied. Would also like a ridiculously long and involved explanation of why it was deemed necessary, what it achieves for what purpose, written by Torch with tech help from somebody. And see him and the rest of The Jalopnik Crew try to drive it around a course, sober and after 1-4 beers.

I get lost when I try and drive the 8 speed zf in manual mode, I can’t remember where I am at nor do I understand what gear I should be in. Hmmm.... slowing down, I’m in 7th, should I go to 3rd? 2nd? 6-speed is best on a daily.

Notes are more effective when written on an opened up empty box of 12 gauge slugs. My roommate and I did this with an apartment parking situation in college.

I would have parked much closer to them. Close enough that when they put their car in gear, it would have lurched forward enough to hit my hitch.

Pre-Ordered Mine. It’ll probably show up before my Model 3.

He may be out of touch, but at least he’s not out of torch.

I’ll take 2!!

Damn, Justin. Did you smoke a bad bowl last night?

Real life Tony Stark.

Irony is that I do have a couple of rather fearsome “steak knives”.
