I was actually reading an article yesterday about how some evangelicals believe Trump is fulfilling a prophecy. I can’t remember the specifics but it had to do with a Pagan leader who shared their values but didn’t necessarily embody them.

Yes but that’s when an actual president was trying to do his job. Now a representative of the Russian mob is trying to do his job so fuck him.

Conservative values are based on emotion and flawed world views. For the most part, far-right conservatives cannot be appealed to with logic or reason. As you say, we can only quarantine them, outnumber them and appeal to moderates who don’t want the Russian mob to appoint Justices.

Meh. Putin isn’t that dumb. He’s worked his whole life amassing power and money, he won’t risk an outright confrontation. Worst case scenerio (which is still bad, but not as bad) is a proxy war in Syria/Iraq/Iran.
