These women just constantly claim that all this sexism and misogyny is an exception to the rule and that most republicans aren’t like that. I kind of reminds me of a woman in an abusive relationship, who stays in the relationship and tries to justify it by saying “he’s not all bad, he has some good qualities”

I also think religion plays a strong role in republican women putting up with so much mistreatment. Conservative Christians are basically taught that women are less than men and should subjugate themselves to me.

I say to republican women: “remember when the GOP invested so much time in savaging feminists? They weren’t savaging feminists; they were savaging all women, especially those who dare to stand up against abuse and mistreatment. And eventually you will find yourselves the brunt of such attacks.”

I suspect that the only way to get single payer in the foreseeable future is the same way we get legalized pot (and legalized gay marriage before the supreme court intervened): By State. A progressive state does it, other states follow. Most progressive stuff is usually done locally anyways.
