Yeah, it bugs the hell out of me that Jezebel or similar blogs would throw women under the bus in the name of being politically correct or respecting other cultures. Fuck other cultures, if they are going to systematically abuse women or children or LGBT, I am going to call them out on their shit.

I think the point of the story was surprise that Germany still had such archaic laws on the books. The country is usually seen as more progressive.

Yeah, I realize that I was being a bit optimistic. Perhaps I should have said that it will diminish back down to pre Hillary Derangement Syndrome levels. ;-)

And isn’t it telling that we finally have a chance for a woman president, and she is better qualified that all the other candidates, and wouldn’t you know, suddenly being qualified is no longer important and in fact, recast as a negative. Yep, a woman runs, and the goalposts get moved.
