Oh, good idea!

Please can’t we introduce these confused women to A.N. Roquelaure (aka Anne Rice) so they can get some decent smut at least?

You know, an art exhibition of book sculptures made exclusively of copies of 50 Shades of Grey, would be amazing!

Wow, I didn’t even know such a thing existed. So pretty!

I have a better idea. Let’s air drop them over ISIS strongholds. It will demoralize the enemy.

Sorry Aimee, but there is no excuse. You have an excuse for reading the first one (as I did) to see what all the fuss was about, but reading the subsequent books is beyond the pale. Please turn in your woman card at the desk on your way out. Naughty naughty girl!

What about her family tree?

Strange that that “symbol of unity” never applies to a man taking a woman’s name. It’s almost like there is a double standard or something. Uncanny.

Sounds like someone sneezed, doesn’t it?

But why did not consider having your children take your name, not his?

Children took a father’s last name for the same reason that a woman did. Because society considered them to be his property and his last name conferred ownership.

How is that sexist? Because she refuses to accept male sexism? Were you dropped on your head as a baby?

I like to call it the “knee jerk patriarchy”

Exactly. When it’s considered the norm for children to take the mother’s name just as much as it is for them to take the father’s name, then we’ve really achieved gender equality. Until then, it is almost always the woman who seems to be expected to do the accommodation.

I’m thinking you got lost and are meant to be reading “inadequate man” blog.

“Part of being married is starting a family - which has A NAME.”

But why are the children taking your last name and not hers?

Gee what a surprise that that a guy who uses the word “pussy” to describe weakness (implying that women’s anatomy equals weakness) embraces the patriarchy.

On a humorous note, it kind of sounds like you are telling Grover to wait, but you have a lisp. I like it!

You husband’s name can be their middle name and they can take your last name. I’m a bit biased towards the one who carried the child for 9 months and births him or her tbh. I think you’ve earned it.
