I went back at forty for my MFA. That paid off since I make my living from writing.

It may just be a way to make it easy to figure out who belongs to which parent. If you're introducing that many characters at once and trying to do a call back to existing characters, you're pretty much down to names and costumes. Then "Jane" stands out as the one that's different that people will remember, the

A list of the four things would have been great. The woman in this video is horribly perky with a shrill voice and a bad case of the cutes and takes FOREVER to get to her points, which are:

You've got me. I'm female, an old, I've never read the GotG comics, and I'm too lazy to go to theaters. But I will be kicking small children out of my path to see this one. These trailers are genius on every level.

I'm really looking forward to Gotham. Not all of the characters are twenty-five, there's no promise of a happy ending, and it's really beautiful.

I'd disagree, too.

You can buy it on Amazon, and it's not cheap, but it's well worth it. This is one of those shows you go back to again and again because it's a brand new show the second time you watch it, knowing what everything that happens actually means. It's just brilliantly written.

I did, too, especially since they showed him disintegrating so beautifully AND showed why. I don't think it's camp if the person behaving wildly is in incredible, screaming pain.

Thank you. I needed that today.

Flashbacks almost always kill tension by screwing up pacing. Lazy writing. I really do like the last few episodes of SHIELD, but that was bad, especially since I don't know what it was for. Am I supposed to forgive Ward because Garrett was lousy to him? No. He betrays and kills people who trust him. He can stay

I don't think there's any shame in sitting through the bland, I think it's just a choice.

That could explain everything. Thanks.

I'm really not asking for perfection. I thought Buffy was great from the beginning, and a lot of people here think that was a slow start. I just wanted it to be good enough to watch. And I really did patiently give it a chance; I watched the first eight episodes before I thought, "WHY?" and stopped. All I'm asking

Okay, I loathed the first fifteen episodes, but nobody is paying me to get excited about this show now. It's good. I'm not taking an over-exaggerated position; the show runners got their act together and now it's fun, it's exciting, I'm engaged with the characters, and I'm really happy it was renewed for next

Yes, but they still wrote boring TV for about fifteen episodes. They could have written good SHIELD procedural instead of cardboard characters and dumb plots with excruciating dialogue. It was abuse of Clark Gregg and Ming Na Wen. It's not like the show runners didn't know they had to do set-up for fifteen weeks;

No, I'm saying not all actors are alike.

Okay, admitting my bias up front: I write romance.

That's fair. Different degrees of darkness mean that they're not one-note, and I'd never insist that all stories need a truly light layer.

Esther, I've been a fan for some time, but this:

Oh, never mind then. Sorry.
