I guess I worded my reply badly. FFIX is in my top 5, FFVIII isn't. I just don't think it's such a bad or cheaply made game to be lumped in with other good examples of taking advantage of your fan base, or a sign of things to come as it isn't executed in a way that just ignores rpg fans.

I keep trying to tell people something isn't funny unless it has a linear punchline. I mean, how is a joke funny if I can't predict it's outcome? How is it humor if it doesn't make sense under close examination?

I always find people's opinions of VIII and IX funny considering that one is an attempt at making something different and new, while the other attempts to imitate its oldest predecessors as much as possible.

When we're speaking about the difference between current and last gen of the same game, there's no reason new couldn't be subbed for current to avoid confusion over which game version is being discussed for people who are still on last gen consoles.

Looks like a solid game, even though it doesn't look much like a GitS game.

Sharing a similar character model is nothing close to on disc dlc. I'm so tired of everyone being stupid about a portion of unfinished dlc shipping on a disc anyways.
