Gray hair + extremely embarrassing interactions with POC × unfunny LQBTQ ‘comic’ + questionable haircut = (AJLT-era Miranda + Che gestalt cosplay)

That totally made me laugh as I could *totally* envision that exact scenario due to Shannon’s intensity.

Lawrence’s casting in American Hustle (and that no one commented that her character was clearly supposed to be in her 30s) drove me NUTS.

Agreed. I feel like there’s a lot of details and nuance in this case (like much about their child custody battle) that’s being kept from the public.

But a child shouldn’t have to be *an orphan* for a someone to adopt them.

Nope, Lexi is the younger sister. Rue and Lexi are supposed contemporaries age-wise (hence their being BFFs prior to the start of the show.

I disagree with the position this review takes. Outside of the Zendaya-focus showcase a few weeks back, l thought this episode was the strongest of the season.

Diop would be incredible as Storm.

But maybe the breakup was incredibly acrimonious and they refuse to do press together?

I actually agree with you 100%. It’s the scripts and overall showrunning that’s really made the show stink. It kills me because it could’ve been an amazing show (I’m a Titans megafan... particularly the Perez era).

I still get upset over what that show could’ve been. The only other actor who really embodies their character is Conor Leslie as Donna/Wonder Girl.

I really wanted “Zola” to get Best Adapted Screenplay, but the Academy always shuns sex-work in films unless it’s highly sanitized and cliche. That’s why “Hustlers” and Jennifer Lopez wasn’t recognized their year.

Showgirls is too blatantly porny (and hence the ‘cult classic’ appeal) and why it can’t be re-adapted.

Second best decision, IMO. Casting Gal Gadot as WW was his best decision.

These are all interesting hot takes. I’m not sure if I mean this sarcastically.

Amazing.

The hill I’ll die on is Affleck easily made the best Batman/Bruce Wayne. Previous iteration actors always nail one version of the dichotomy. But Affleck was the only one who really was *both*.

Kidder was great, but I never bought her and Reeves chemistry. They often came across as siblings (to me) than two people deeply in love.

But let’s be honest: as good as Bosworth can be in movies, she was all sorts of wrong as Lois Lane.
