But a child shouldn’t have to be *an orphan* for a someone to adopt them.

Nope, Lexi is the younger sister. Rue and Lexi are supposed contemporaries age-wise (hence their being BFFs prior to the start of the show.

I disagree with the position this review takes. Outside of the Zendaya-focus showcase a few weeks back, l thought this episode was the strongest of the season.

Diop would be incredible as Storm.

But maybe the breakup was incredibly acrimonious and they refuse to do press together?

I actually agree with you 100%. It’s the scripts and overall showrunning that’s really made the show stink. It kills me because it could’ve been an amazing show (I’m a Titans megafan... particularly the Perez era).

I still get upset over what that show could’ve been. The only other actor who really embodies their character is Conor Leslie as Donna/Wonder Girl.

I really wanted “Zola” to get Best Adapted Screenplay, but the Academy always shuns sex-work in films unless it’s highly sanitized and cliche. That’s why “Hustlers” and Jennifer Lopez wasn’t recognized their year.

Showgirls is too blatantly porny (and hence the ‘cult classic’ appeal) and why it can’t be re-adapted.

These are all interesting hot takes. I’m not sure if I mean this sarcastically.

Amazing.

Kidder was great, but I never bought her and Reeves chemistry. They often came across as siblings (to me) than two people deeply in love.

But let’s be honest: as good as Bosworth can be in movies, she was all sorts of wrong as Lois Lane.

As for the lip sync, it looked more like June lost than Maddy won.”

Are none of us going to comment on the fact that we all saw Harry’s dick this episode?!

Someone already beat me to it with regards to an explanation, but DNA only helps if you have the source match already on file. If Adam doesn’t have a criminal background, it’s highly unlikely law enforcement will be able to find a match for his DNA.

‘OMG Yes!’ to all of this. Rue’s family is clearly lower-middle class (no judgement - just an observation) and I’ve often wondered how she could possibly afford all the drugs she gets (without it dovetailing into even darker territory).

YES to everything you just said.

When Misty playfully asked “who died?” myself and my husband *howled* with laughter.
