I agree. I think her music is pretty listenable. So I don’t understand where all this vitriol for her is coming from.

Haddish is clearly not everyone’s cup of tea. That said, she has dilligently worked the comedy circuit and seems genuinely appreciative of this moment. She’s not a joke stealer (as far as we know). And she seems like a relatively decent person.

I’m so sorry for your (and your friend’s) loss.

True enough. I actually feel bad for entertainment writers covering big properties such as this. I mean, they have to find an angle (even a contrarian one) that could be like kicking a hornets’ nest.

I actually don’t get what you mean. But feel free to explain...and I actually mean that in a non-snarky way. :)

Oh, hush. We all know Barsanti is referencing what most SW fans are thinking. That many are simultaneously bummed & concerned with the loss of Lord and Miller. And that the addition of Howard, who lacks storytelling flair to make a ‘good’ Star Wars feeling, is fairly worrisome.

I’ve always felt Steven R. McQueen (Jeremy from “The Vampire Diaries”) would make a terrific Nightwing. He was also campaigning for it a few years back when TNT had first announced doing a “Titans” television show.

Jezebel itself markets the site as aimed towards women. It does so right in the browser description tab. Considering that’s the angle they themselves use, your pivot doesn’t work.

I only became aware of him after seeing Arrival - which both myself and Mr. Notorious loved - and then watched Sicario (and understood all the hoopla around it).

Your comment comes across as somewhat dismissive and misogynistic.

Forget Bond...I’m hoping he’s still attached to the Dune adaptation. Can you imagine the emotional and visual spectacle (in the good way) he’d bring to the cinematic version of the novel?

I’m not sure if she sings...but it wouldn’t surprise me *in the slightest* if she does and is amazing. :)

But I’ve heard that TLK will have CGI lions/animals in the manner of the recent version of The Jungle Book.

Have you read the new Spacey-based allegation regarding an additional encounter he had with another 14YO in the 1980s? Because holy sh!t it is intense. It definitely establishes a pattern of behavior.

If you hear a group of German men within earshot, they are going to/just leaving a sex party.

I had really hoped they would’ve snagged Lupita Nyong’o for Nala.

A big ‘yeeeeessss’ to Stranger With My Face. When in elementary school, it was one of the first novels I ever read when I actively transitioned to YA and contemporary fiction. And it’s another Duncan novel that stands up very well after all this time. It’s incredibly engrossing.

What should’ve been a scene of profound pathos was made comical due to the unintentional shenanigans substituting the emotional growth that was supposed to comprise that relationship.

I am probably one of the few people who didn’t give two sh!ts about pre-Vader and was excited to learn about Leia & Luke’s mother.

Considering the many, many issues with E1, there was ALOT of things that weren’t pointed out to George. ;)
