Don’t try to convince Da Car that his e39s are anything but perfect.

They’re wonderful cars if you’re alright with them occasionally just not working because you need to replace a major part - that sounds weird, but most ‘fun’ 2nd cars fall in that gap.

But yeah, on any given afternoon you may have to suddenly find a

It’s really really rock solid reliable!!!*

2nd gear: Two cars...one cup. Eat it Barra.

I like the LFX as much (more, actually) as the next guy... but, all aluminum LS3 with a cam making 500HP?  I dunno.  Like the 6.2L of grunt.

1.I lose about 25% with that kind of load.

Good suggestions as long as the E46 is the proper 6 speed and not the SMG

I LOVE the CTS-v but in no world is it a “Sports Car”. It’s huge and heavy and sort of practical in 4/5 door configurations. Having said that, could it scratch an itch, while becoming his new daily driver? Yes, yes it could.

Freshen up the Cadillac Sixteen concept and drop the V16 in there that can run on 16,8, or 4 cylinders. If Dodge has shown us anything it’s that nobody gives a damn about MPG when awesomeness is the result!

Does BT from Titanfall 2 count? I mean, you kind of play him? But not really. Robot characters, NPC or otherwise, are always the best. BT. Megaman. HK-47. Probably some others.

BT is funny (often inadvertantly) and entertaining. He’s helpful. And you kinda get to see him/it grow. Plus, obviously you can’t win a Titanfal

Very much agree. Bro in law is a painting contractor and uses the vehicle to great success. When we visit, he lets us borrow it and can rip everything out of there very quickly to convert it back to Family Mode. I have a soft spot in my heart for this thing. It is shitloads of fun.

That’s a good choice.  The new ones make me cringe at $40k but the 2013 and 2014 could meet his budget.

The Simpson helmet also makes The Stig so iconic

There is no telling how many grassroots to top professional racing drivers Bill Simpson’s gear saved from being maimed and killed while racing.

I’m currently only interested in small to midsize cars. I drive A LOT, 18-19k a year. The civic was great because they hold okay value, and they’re cheap so when I drive it into the ground it’ll be worthless anyway. I’d rather take a $22k hit doing than instead of a $42k hit.

Remember when everyone called the Scion XB and the Honda Element boxes on wheels?

There’s a guy at work that still dailys his, almost 30 years old.  Its got some slight rust, but just runs and runs.  He changes the oil an replaces tires, and thats it.

I thought Extenze drivers drove one of these:

You're not wrong, the N63 literally is a nightmare...

I wish they would separate mechanical reliability from tech reliability. Though both are annoying issues, only one typically leaves you stranded. I’m most interested to know what Alfa Romeo’s mechanical reliability is looking like...

A hero doing the actual reporting that should have been in the article...
